ORDER OF WOLF is a shadowy story of an obsessive lust for knowledge and power. After witnessing an ancient blood ritual performed between men and wolves, a young boy uses a ceremonial book to try and save his father's soul; and almost loses his own. 

Night Shade illuminates multiple layers of imagery that unfold out of the pages of a hand made pop-up book and flow across the large shadow screen like film.

Interdisciplinary shadow duo, Dust in Your Eyes is comprised of Seattle-based artists Zane Exactly and Cassandra Bray. This Samhains' performances of "Giant Woman" & "We Go Mad" ~ incorporate silhouette, overhead shadow puppetry and surrealist storytelling.

FULL MOON workshop hosted by LIZ HOWLS

at OPEN EYE FIGURE THEATRE, MN

Sunday July 14th @ 10am

In this 3 hour workshop, Night Shade artists will show various tips & tricks to develop shadow puppet designs that compliment a cinematic shadow style. Participants will create their own intricately hand cut paper puppet and explore the flowing effects of manipulating depth & space by using handheld light sources.
